The cheongsam is a female dress with distinctive Chinese features and enjoys a growing popularity in the international world of high fashion.
The name "cheongsam," meaning simply "long dress," entered the English vocabulary from the dialect of China's Guangdong Province (Cantonese). In other parts of the country including Beijing, however, it is known as "qipao", which has a history behind it.
When the early Manchu rulers came to China proper, they organized certain people, mainly Manchus, into "banners" (qi) and called them "banner people" (qiren), which then became loosely the name of all Manchus. The Manchu women wore normally a one-piece dress which, likewise, came to be called "qipao" or "banner dress." Although the 1911 Revolution toppled the rule of the Qing (Manchu) Dynasty, the female dress survived the political change and, with later improvements, has become the traditional dress for Chinese women.
Easy to slip on and comfortable to wear, the cheongsam fits well the female Chinese figure. Its neck is high, collar closed, and its sleeves may be either short, medium or full length, depending on season and taste. The dress is buttoned on the right side, with a loose chest, a fitting waist, and slits up from the sides, all of which combine to set off the beauty of the female shape.
The cheongsam is not too complicated to make. Nor does it call for too much material, for there are no accessories like belts, scarves, sashes or frills to go with it.
Another beauty of the cheongsam is that, made of different materials and to varying lengths, they can be worn either on casual or formal occasions. In either case, it creates an impression of simple and quiet charm, elegance and neatness. No wonder it is so much liked by women not only of China but of foreign countries as well.

Dream is developed by your warm heart instead of cheating your eyes in the excuse of earning money! A dream is a clear spiritual lighthouse that gives out direction when you do not know what to expect in the days ahead and offers comfort and support when you become doubtful of yourself.

大家好。期中剛剛過去，經(jīng)過這一段時間的學習，相信同學們已經(jīng)查漏補缺，認識到了自己的不足。轉(zhuǎn)眼間，還剩下一個多月的學習時間，初一生活就將向我們揮手告別。我們要利用這一個多月的時間，把初一畫上一個完美的句號，為今后更加繁重的學習任務打下堅實的基礎。
對于絕大多數(shù)同學來說，英語始終是心頭大患。我與大家經(jīng)歷相同，從4年級便被扣上了這頂帽子，每一次考試，英語總是給我拖后腿，但在一次次摸索中，我也在不斷進步，總結了一些經(jīng)驗。正所謂“方向不對，努力白費”，正確的學習方法會使我們的學習效率大大提高，從而達到事半功倍的目的。下面是我總結的.一些學習英語的經(jīng)驗，希望可以供同學們參考。
第一，做好課堂筆記。
顧名思義，課堂筆記便是利用課堂時間將老師所講的重點、難點、疑點記下，千萬不可以“手懶”，對于知識零碎的英語來說更是如此，好記性不如爛筆頭。然后是回顧筆記，回顧筆記才是做筆記的重點，建議大家，周末時專門抽出時間回顧一下當周所做的筆記，這樣能有效地緩解緊張的心理，可以讓你在下一周的學習中得心應手。舉個我自己的例子吧，記得有一次英語抽測，我抱著僥幸的心理，沒有做好復習工作，所以考試前就開始臨時抱佛腳，結果到了最后，根本沒有時間復習完，考試時慌慌張張，考得一塌糊涂。所以說，做好筆記對于學生來說十分重要。
第二，整理回顧錯題。
對于很多同學來說，都能做到整理錯題，但重點是我們不僅僅要整理，更要回顧與反思。所謂“好馬不吃回頭草”對我們學生萬萬不可適用，要想成功擠過中考這座獨木橋，就必須回顧自己的錯題，也防止再出現(xiàn)類似的失誤。再舉個例子吧，我開始和很多同學一樣只是糾一下錯，之后就不管了，但是有一次考試，我真記得做過某一題，就是忘了怎么做，結果不僅沒做出題，心情也糟糕透頂，考試結果可想而知慘不忍睹，后來我學著經(jīng)常回顧錯題本，慢慢地積累，厚積薄發(fā)，考試也不再出現(xiàn)類似的失誤。
第三，要利用零碎的時間。
英語是一門需要長期積累的科目，知識點很多，一定要好好利用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)、學習機和其他移動方便的設備，更不用說書籍和雜志這樣的傳統(tǒng)學習資源！你完全可以在課間、排隊、午休等時間記幾個單詞，要養(yǎng)成“天天英語”的習慣，每天按老師的要求作一篇完形閱讀，堅持天天聽英語。其實學英語的過程更像是一朵云的形成，是水汽的一點點積累；而不像砌一面墻那樣，把磚堆上去就好。
個誤區(qū)，對基礎知識重視不夠。基礎知識是最簡單的但也是最重要的。
許多人面對這個問題時總是用不認真、不仔細來解釋，但這不是根源。前面提到，即使去檢查也不一定能查出來，而且還會浪費一些思考偏難題的時間。因此，一次做對是關鍵。但怎樣才能一次做對呢？首先，要重視熟練。古人說熟能生巧，只有多做練習才能做到熟練，心中掛一個警鐘，一遇到這種題小心就能避免出錯。經(jīng)常做練習，看到這些題就能不假思索寫出正確答案，這樣就比我們草草做完，回頭花大量時間去檢查要好的多。
當然，英語學習并不只是這么一點，同時需我們多進行一些詞匯量的擴展。課外閱讀是一個很好的方法。我們手中的空中英語教室就是一個很好的選擇。遇到不懂的單詞多查，多問。擴充我們的詞匯庫。

About innovation， what comes to your mind firstly ? As for me, most innovation shines our lives in the long process of humanhistory. Just imagine ten million years ago, what are our ancestors’ lifestyles? They must hunt animals or pick the roots and leaves for food laboriously with simple tools ; They have to roar with each other to communicate in a long distance; Their transportation basically rely on walking. In short, their lives are hard, simple, even a little boring. However, taking a look at our lives today! We can order KFC at home , our food is more easily and diversifiedly to be acquired; we can get in touch with our friends anywhere at anytime by telephone , E-mail andWeChat! Our vehicles include buses ,cars, planes and so on, it becames so easy to reach the destination. So how did these happen? Those changes are all owing to the countless innovation. It makes our lives become more convenient, comfortable and colorful. But in today’s modern life , don’t we need to innovate? No no, let’s have a look at the problems we are facing: air pollution, traffic jam, waste of resources.
Those are related to our survival. Maybe we can make a huge machine to filter the polluted , or invent a car which not only can drive along the road, but also can fly in the sky; or one day we synthesis super energy materials, we would never relay on traditional resources any more. Are those ideas too exaggerated? Who knows? Just as hundreds years ago, nobody can imagine we can fly by plane. Time will tell you the truth .As Edward, a famous psychologists, said: Without innovation, there would be no progress, and we would be forever repeating the same patterns.
