此次培訓(xùn)是由來(lái)自加拿大外教授課，實(shí)行小班教學(xué)。在培訓(xùn)期間，每天不同的主題，針對(duì)我們英語(yǔ)教學(xué)方法的介紹和指導(dǎo)，讓我們英語(yǔ)教師在培訓(xùn)中，掌握其實(shí)際應(yīng)用技巧。Gloria給我們營(yíng)造一個(gè)純英語(yǔ)的學(xué)習(xí)環(huán)境，培養(yǎng)我們的英文慣性思維能力，我們?cè)谡n堂上只講英語(yǔ)，每天都在一個(gè)全英文的環(huán)境中實(shí)踐與提高，這樣大腦每天不斷在接受英語(yǔ)的沖擊，再加上教師的耐心的指導(dǎo)，培養(yǎng)在與真正的外國(guó)人自然交流的過程中形成的語(yǔ)言思維習(xí)慣。
還有，在外教課堂上，外教的肢體語(yǔ)言和面目表情是值得我們學(xué)習(xí)的，我們上了課之后，就感覺Gloria的課上得很活，她在課堂上時(shí)而唱歌，我們就隨之唱起來(lái)；她在課堂上時(shí)而跳舞，我們也隨之舞起來(lái)，這絲毫都沒有浪費(fèi)我們的學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)間，而且在唱歌和跳舞中進(jìn)行了英語(yǔ)交流，Gloria天天給我們的話題都是新鮮的，讓我們天天都有所期盼。這讓我們訓(xùn)練英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)之余還學(xué)到了好多實(shí)用的教學(xué)方法。在培訓(xùn)的課堂上是沒有一句中文的，所有學(xué)員為了能聽懂外教的話并能與之交流，學(xué)習(xí)非�？炭啵龅缴~或查字典；或?qū)W員之間相互討論，共同思考；或比劃著向外教請(qǐng)教。每天寫的journal，讓我們的英語(yǔ)書寫也得到了飛速的'提高。

I want her to be mine, but she isn't think of me like that, and I know it. Then she said "I had the best time, thanks!" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. Graduation Day
A day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged her. Then she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, "you're my best friend, thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. A Few Years Later

It seems to me a very difficult thing to put into words the beliefs we hold and what they make you do in your life. I think I was fortunate because I grew up in a family where there was a very deep religious feeling. I don’t think it was spoken of a great deal. And so I came to the conclusion that you had to use this life to develop the very best that you could develop.
I don’t know whether I believe in a future life. I believe that all that you go through here must have some value, therefore there must be some reason. And there must be some “going on”。 How exactly that happens I’ve never been able to decide. There is a future—that I’m sure of. But how, that I don’t know. And I came to feel that it didn’t really matter very much because whatever the future held you’d have to face it when you came to it, just as whatever life holds you have to face it in exactly the same way. And the important thing was that you never let down doing the best that you were able to do—it might be poor because you might not have very much within you to give, or to help other people with, or to live your life with. But as long as you did the very best that you were able to do, then that was what you were put here to do and that was what you were accomplishing by being here.And so I have tried to follow that out—and not to worry about the future or what was going to happen. I think I am pretty much of a fatalist. You have to accept whatever comes and the only important thing is that you meet it with courage and with the best that you have to give.

For example, if a student asks a teacher a question and the teacher replies that its easy. The student might feel humiliated and wont ask the teacher again. He might even lost the excitment to learn.
The different backgrounds we have result in our different values. So nobody has the right to force others to accept their ideas. So we have to be tolerant. As long as he or she doesnt violate your basic regulation, why not treat it in a tolerant way? Even if they have made you unhappy, just let it gone with the wind.
To be tolerant, you can;t speak extreme words. You might get in trouble just because of some words you think can bring you temporary pleasure. Even if youre criticizing people, you should try to be mild.
Tolstoy is a great author. But his life is a tragedy, mostly resulted from his marriage. His wifes ever-lasting complain had put him to death. When Tolstoy was 82, he could bear his wife anymore and ran out of his house. He ended up dead in the railway station. Before he died, his only requirement was that his wife wouldnt be allowed to be with him. Lincoln was also like him. Some people say that the greatest tragedy in Lincolns life wasnt that he was shot dead but his wife, Mary. For 23 years, he had to tolerate his wifes noise.

So the interdisciplinary exploitation serves as the critical part for our electric and electronics world as well as any other fields to find new way of being.
But the power of knowledge collaboration is certainly not restricted to science and engineering; it is in the full community of learning. Walking around campus I absorbed a reality that there is a seamless web between students from different professional backgrounds. The engineering students are discussing animatedly in a philosophy lecture, speaking passionately in the public speaking club, and looking for sparkling ideas from learning history and arts. How wonderful that is! That, ladies and gentleman, is just a significant step forward to be well-rounded because once we jump out of the circle we can see the bigger picture.
My friends, I hope that you have already got what university is all about.
